Our first trip to Wales. March 2017
I wanted a hot tub, and somewhere we can take the dogs. Clive wanted somewhere with mountains and walking, so we compromised and went to Wales!
After a 7 hour journey by car to Bangor, North Wales we finally got to the cottage, and the views were absolutely to die for. As we were early, we took the dogs for a walk over a farm, and on the way back realised that Wales isn’t the flattest of places…
Getting in to the cottage and seeing the little wood burner, a bottle of wine ready for us after that long in a car was a sight for sore eyes. We cracked open a bottle of bubbly, some beers and got in the hot tub!
The next day we went sight seeing, took the dogs and climbed up a mountain – kind of… got part of the way up there then realised that the dogs, given half a chance, would leg it after the terrifying goats that surround the area and promptly got back in the car, soaking wet but happy.
The next day we decided to spend in the hot tub, with cocktails. On the 4th day we decided to find a woodland to get the dogs off to roam and found this amazing place in Betws-y-Coed, about 30 minutes away from the cottage. The dogs loved it, we loved it.
The next 3 days we just decided to wonder around the area, knackering the dogs, and ourselves out enough to properly enjoy the hottub!
